The Great Sully Story:
Sully came to us on September 1st of 2016, during a hot summer day. He was wandering the neighborhood in casual fashion, and trotted to our front stoop. We found him covered in fleas, wounds, and dirt. After a few hours of loving doting and a few tender morsels, we begrudgingly drove him to the no-kill Charleston Animal Society to allow him to be reunited with his owners. A few weeks passed, our hearts longing for his return. A southern storm came and went, with another on it's tail. Hurricane Matthew brought Sully back to us, (He sensed it's arrival), and with an excited turn of events, we brought him in to stay the night, knowing he'd be safe, if only for a short time. The next morning, in pouring rain, we located his owners and found they lived only a few houses down. As we returned him, the words, "You want a dog? We were about to dig a grave if he didn't come back" were repeated to us. We learned that he was an outside dog, living in neglect and inhumane conditions. We took him in for the night, and the rest, as they say, is history. Needless to say, after some tender, love, and care he has become an incredible, positive force in our family, and we couldn't imagine a world without him.
